Just in time for the summer, Disney brings us a sequel to the animated classic and astonishing novel. Now mind you, I don’t recall seeing the second animated film as a child. So I had no ideal what to expect nor the plot this time around. Alice Through The Looking Glass brings the same cast back from the first live film and shows us some new characters as well. A lot of critics and media have said the film failed at the box office or flopped, but ill remind you it did open up the same as X-Men Apocalypse, which is a block buster in it’s own right. But a flop? I’ll be the judge of that.

Mia Wasikowska is back reprising her role as the famous Alice.  Alice has returned home from being a ship captain and continuing to wonder. She is forced to give up her ship to keep her house and wanders through a eerie mirror and returns to wonderland. Once there she figures she was summoned  back to save the hatter (Johnny Depp) whose gone mad from missing his family. The only way to save him is to travel back in time and save them and the only way to do this is to meet time played by Sacha Baron Cohen and  take his time traveling machine the Chronosphere.

The rest of the cast is back including Anne Hathaway as the White Queen and Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen reprising their role quite well. So will Alice save the hatter or suffer the wrath of Time? I say ignore the media and other critics and go find out for your self. The film is full of adventure and well done CGI and probably even better in 3-D. The film doesn’t lack much and will be a great summer event to take the family to. Three and a half out five popcorn bags.( Rated PG 1hr 53min)
